
Senior Network Engineer
Test Lab

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborates with the Test Lab Manager to determine priority levels for testing of incoming equipment

Collaborates with the Test Lab Manager to determine priority levels for testing of outgoing equipment

Performs testing activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of orders
-
Communicates any equipment problems to the Test Lab Manager, Flow Team, and Sales Team in a timely manner

Performs testing per specific test procedures that incorporate measurement instruments, CLI, graphical user interfaces, console servers, and all related computer test programs

Documents test results with appropriate information in a complete manner, following our current process while recommending improvements as needed

Reads and interprets specific test procedures to properly perform and document test results

Installs new equipment platforms to our test lab as needed

Researches, develops, and documents test procedures for new platforms.

Works with the test lab team to maintain and update documentation

Maintains Test Lab in a clean, organized, and safe manner

Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations

Performs other related duties, as assigned

An understanding of telecommunications, Networking, and IT equipment:

Networking Protocols (IPv6, 802.3 Ethernet, RPR/DPT, 802.11, 802.17)

Internet Protocols (HTTP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP)

DOCSIS / IPTV Technologies and Services

Optical Networking (CWDM, DWDM, PON)

Hybrid Fiber Coax Technologies

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher is required
-
Experience working with IT Networks is required

Experience working in the Service Provider Industry is preferred

Experience with Dell, HP, and CISCO servers is preferred
-
Certifications and / or experience with Cisco, Adtran, Juniper, Calix, and Brocade/ Extreme equipment is preferred
-
Experience working with core routers, core switches, transport & DWDM networks is preferred

Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30
