Tri Tower Telecom is searching for a Tax Specialist to join our team in Rochester, NY

If you have Tax or Public Accounting experience this is an opportunity you need to explore! A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES + DUTIES

• Complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales tax returns for various state and local jurisdictions.

• Research and provide guidance on tax regulation and legislation for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.

• Assist in creating or updating standard operating procedures that help reduce risk, streamline tax compliance and reporting.

• Invoice customers, send reminders, and inquire on payments when needed.

• Ensure invoicing between Avalara and NetSuite flowed correctly.

• Run customer credit applications for recommendation of terms.

• Complete and maintain the return merchandise authorization (RMA) process.

• Assist in completing special projects from time to time.

• Assist in communication to the customer on sales tax and other related issues.

• Ensure Avalara and NetSuite’s customer information is accurate and up to date.

• Ensure financial policies and procedures are maintained in the cash cycle.

• Research and provide suggestions on tax strategies for the Company.

• When needed, cover for other Accounting Team members when out of the office.

• If needed, help assist the Human Resources Director in payroll tax compliance.

• Perform other duties as required.
